16pp., [625-640], four columns, numerous lithographs, beginning with a fascinating  front  cover, featuring of Captain A.B. Jones, and the New Hampshire company of Berdan’s Sharpshooters, with explanatory note p. 636. Other lithos feature the 12th Ohio Infantry ascending Gauley Mtn. in West Virginia, along with Gen. McClellan’s body guard, “The Sturges Rifles”. Other stories include a profile of Rebel General Joe Johnston.

In condition, the front cover exhibits light minor stain along lower margin. Internal text display three or four small scotch tapes repairs. Plus tiny mounting dots along left margin.  Else near fine, and a superb, must have collectible for Berdan Sharpshooter buffs.
