Front cover features two Army of the Potomac sketches—“The Army of the Potomac In Huts”, and “The Teamster’s Duel [a pair of black teamster’s facing off with whips]. Interior includes story treating “The Execution of the Minnesota Indians”, p.39, along with illustration of the “Execution of Thirty Eight Indian Murderers at Mankato Minnesota.” Others include a dramatic centerfold of “War In The Border States”, and a depiction of the “Reception of the Authorities of New Orleans by General Butler To His Departure.” Plus a sketch of “General Banks’s Forces Landing At Baton Rouge, Louisiana.”
Exhibits tiny mounting dots & slight chipping along left margin, plus slight small smudge of lower right corner. Else Fine, smooth and handsome. Solid collectible.
