Also a dramatic centerfold depicting the “Bombardment of Fort Sumter By The Batteries of the Confederate States, April 13, 1861”. Plus portrait sketches of “President Lincoln—[Photographed by Brady]”, and “General P.G.T. Beauregard”, as well as four striking rear cover cartoons.

Exhibits mounting dots and slight chipping along left along left margin, and slight soiling of lower right corner. Else near fine, w/smooth cover. Excellent collectible. With this issue, Harper’s Weekly begins its coverage of the American Civil War. In protective sleeve, w/ white card backing.
