There is a biographical article on General Lee as well as an article titled, “GEN. SHERMAN’S CAMPAIGN”. Interior includes illustrations of locations in Georgia where Sherman’s troops had campaigned, a map of Sherman’s advance on Atlanta, the escaped slave, and of General Grant’s campaign on the James River. There is a centerfold illustration titled, “GENERAL SHERMAN’S CAMPAIGN- THE REBEL ASSAULT ON LOGAN’S POSITION IN THE BATTLE OF DALLAS, May 28, 1864. Sketched by Theodore R. Davis”.
Exhibits mounting dots on left margin. Overall in very good condition but there is a small tear on the center right edge throughout all of the pages. A superb Harper’s Weekly collectible. In protective sleeve, with white card backing.
