Interior illustrations include sketches of [1] “An Exterior View of the Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia,” [2] “Encampment of Union Prisoners at Belle Isle, Richmond, Virgina,” and [3] a fascinating full page sketch of an “Interior View of Libby Prison, Richmond, VA, Showing the Quarters of the Union Officers Confined There”. The latter illustration contains bust portrait vignettes of Campt. H.W. Sawyer. 1st New Jersey Cavalry, and Capn. Flynn;, 71st Ind.”
