Front cover features a magnificent full page montage of scenes from “The Reoccupation of Norfolk By The Union Forces, Under General Wool, May 10, 1862.”  Interior illustrations include three full page spreads depicting “The Expedition Against New Orleans.”, with journalistic cover to match. This event, the naval capture of New Orleans, was a major event of the war, easily as significant as any of  its battles.

Exhibits mounting dots and light chipping of left margin. Else fine, w/smooth cover. Superb issue, covering an important Union victory.
