Front cover features portrait illustrations of “Lieutenant Russell, U.S.N., Who Burned the “Judith” at Pensacola”, and “Colonel Mulligan”, the Union commander forced to surrender at Lexington, as well as a sketch of “The Rebel Ex-Governor Jackson, Of Missouri, Addressing Colonel Mulligan’s Troops After The Surrender at Lexington.” Interior illustrations include a panoramic “View of Jefferson City, Missouri, Showing the New Fortification, and the Arrival and Departure of Troops”, and an equally panoramic view of “An Alabama Regiment Marching Through Capitol Square, Richmond, On Their Way To Join The Rebel Forces Under Beauregard.”
Exhibits mounting dots and light chipping along left margin, and a pair of tiny cover dots. Else fine, w/smooth cover. Solid early-war issue, excellent collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing.
