John Brown”, accompanied by stunning portrait illustration of Brown—“John Brown, Now Under Sentence of Death For Treason and Murder, At Charlestown, VA.” Interior illustrations include center fold, featuring on one side, “View of Charleston, VA, Showing the Prison, Guard-House and Court-House Where the Prisoners Were Tried”, and on the other, “Professor Lowe’s Mammoth Balloon, City of New York, As She Will Appear When Fully Inflated.”
Exhibits very slight chipping along left cover margin. Front cover detached. Else near mint, w/smooth cover. A stupendous issue, fine collectible. In protective sleeve w/white card backing. [jp]
