Waud.” Other illustrations include one of the “Rebel Batteries Near St. Augustine”, and an action scene depicting “The Fight At Cornet’s Bridge, Bayou Teche, Louisiana, and Destruction of the Rebel Gun-Boat “Cotton, January 14, 1863.” Plus a spectacular centerfold of the famed [and infamous] “Mud March” of the Army of the Potomac, with the caption: “Fruitless Attempt of the Army of The Potomac To Move Toward the Rappannock On 20th January, 1863.” Also rendered by noted A.R. Waud.
Exhibits mounting dots along the left margin. Else fine to near pristine, w/smooth cover. Magnificent issue, fine collectible. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing. [jp]
