The front cover features a glorious full page illustration of the Union blockade off Mobile, Ala—“Our Flag is There!”. Others include a “Guard-Boat on Picket Duty Off Mobile, “ and “The United States Steamer “Kennebec” Chasing the Rebel Steamer “Grey Jacket.” As well as a stunning double page center-fold of “The United States Sloop of War “Richmond” on Blockade Duty Off Mobile.” Plus the “Headquarters of the United States Sanitary Commission at Gettysburg, PA”, & “Cook-House at General Hospital, Gettysburg.”

Exhibits evidence of having been bound at some point along left margin. Minor creases at upper and lower right corners of cover. Else in good condition. Superb illustrations, especially the double centerfold.[jp/lcd]
