Page 3 – Letters from Canadian assassination ‘conspirators’ Beverly Tucker, George N. Sanders, and W.W. Cleary proclaiming their innocence in the Lincoln assassination. . All were part of the Confederate Secret Service in Montreal but were never proved to have taken part in Booth’s plot. However Booth’s purpose in visiting Montreal for 9 days in October 1864 is still debated by historians. He withdrew a sum of money from a Montreal bank, and that receipt was found on his body when he was killed at the Garrett Farm.

Page 6 – Confederate Generals Joe Johnston, Dick Taylor, and Kirby Smith surrender their armies.

Jefferson Davis pursuit continues. Thought to be in South Carolina.

President Johnson announces rewards for capture of Davis ( $ 100k), and the Canadian conspirators ($ 25k apiece).
