Front features full page depicting the arrival of Union loyalist refugees in Kinston, GA, in the wake of Sherman’s March. Interior illustrations include a double page centerfold--[w/4” vertical tear at lower margin]—of “General Sherman’s Grand March Through Central Georgia.” Plus story and two sketches of released Andersonville prisoners aboard ship: [1] “Thank God!”—Reception of Our Exchanged Prisoners On Board The “Eliza Hancock”, November 18, 1864”; [2] “Serving Out Rations to Our Exchanged Prisoners Aboard the “New York”.

Exhibits mounting dots along left cover margin, along with faint fold-marks & one tiny dark spot, lower left margin. Else VG, w/smooth cover. Superb “Sherman’s March” issue [on the way to Savannah], many fine illustrations. In protective w/white card backing.  [JP]
