Front cover features a dramatic full page illustration capturing a battle-flag from a dying Confederate soldier at the Battle of Ezra Church—“Harry Davis [46th Ohio Infy] Capturing the Battle-Flag of the Thirteenth Louisiana, At the Battle of Ezra Church.” Interior illustrations include Admiral Farragut and a full page sketch of “Admiral Farragut’s Fleet Bombarding Fort Morgan, August 22, 1864. Also a full page “Map Showing the Entire Filed of Operations Under Grant, Sherman & Farragut.” With stories to match. Plus an hilarious rear cover 1864 Lincoln v. McClellan election cartoon.

Exhibits mounting dots on the rear cover left margin. Also some very slight touches of foxing. Else fine, with smooth handsome cover fit for framing. In protective sleeve, w/white card backing. [jp]
