The left side headlines read “FROM THE ARMY OF THE POTOMAC – RECONNOISSANCES ACROSS THE POTOMAC ON MONDAY – THE ENEMY TO BE IN FORCE NEAR WINCHESTER – THE LOSSES IN THE BATTLES IN MARYLAND – GEN. MCCLELLAN’S OFFICAL REPORT – OUR LOSS AT SOUTH MOUNTAIN 2,325; AT ANTIETAM 12,469 – REBEL LOSS ESTIMATED AT 30,000.”

Newspaper also carries a partial casualty list.

Left edge is stapled and there is some light spots of foxing or staining. Nice overall condition.  [ad]
