This newspaper, published in Boston from during the Civil War, contains articles on the Battle of Cedar Mountain, a letter describing the death of Capt. N.B. Shurtleff, the demand for wool as the army increases in numbers, and a listing of Massachusetts officers commissions. Other articles featured are about farming- how the hay and corn crops are doing, the popularity of tomatoes, treating cattle for bloat and preserving fruit.
Paper has a total of four pages. Measures 21” wide x 26 ½’ long. Very good condition and totally readable. Has fold creases and some scattered small tears and chips. [sl]
