Vol. 1—issues from November 24, 1860 through December 28, 1861. Bound in black buckram, 15.75” x 11.5, leather spine w/gilt lettering: “Harper’s Weekly 1860-61.“ Exhibits wear at the extremities, w/front hinge cracking & very slight yellowing of interior text. Else VG & entirely legible.

Vol. II—Issues from January 4, 1862 through December 27, 1862. Bound in speckled marbled boards, w/ new endpapers, 16.25”  x 12, w/black buckram spine & black leather gilt spine label: “Harper’s Weekly/ Vol. VI.” Exhibits wear at the extremities. Else VG & solid.

Vol III—Issues from January 3, 1863 through December 26, 1863. Bound in speckled marbled boards, w/ new endpapers, 16.25” x 12, black buckram spine w/black leather gilt label: “Harper’s Weekly/ Vol. [the rest worn off].  Exhibits light wear at the extremities. Else VG & solid.

Vol. IV—Issues from January 2, 1864 to December 31, 1864. Bound in brown marbled boards, w/marbled endpapers, 16” x 11.75”, w/brown lea. calf corners and raised band spine w/gilt lettering: “Harper’s/ illustrated/ Weekly.” Exhibits wear at the extremities, front hinge cracking, text very slightly yellowed. Else VG and entirely legible.

Vol V—Issues from January 7, 1865 through December 30, 1865. Bound in brown buckram, 16.25”  x 11.5. w/brown lea. corners w/ gilt trimmed spine & lettering: “Harper’s / Weekly / Vol. 9.” Plus brown, gilt trimmed owner cover sticker: “A.J. Demming.”  Exhibits wear at the extremities, text very slightly yellowed w/light water staining at the very right-ward edge of the final two issues. Else VG and solid.
