$145.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: P13571

Lithograph CDV and signature of P.T.G. Beauregard is nicely matted in a black wooden frame with a brushed gold beveled border.  CDV is a chest-up view of General Beauregard wearing a double breasted frock coat. There are two scuffed spots on the CDV.

Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard was a popular commander during the Civil War who fired on Fort Sumter (Charleston Harbor), won the battle of Manassas (Bull Run), nearly destroyed Ulysses S. Grant at the Battle of Shiloh, commanded the defenses of Charleston Harbor and played a pivotal role in the defense of Petersburg. The flamboyant Frenchman, who had serious personal issues with Confederate President Jefferson Davis, was also a politician and writer.

This is a unique opportunity to own a Confederate General’s signature.   [sm]
