Bright, ding-free blade measures 20” in length, measures 1.06125” at base. Inspection “S” on reverse. Exhibits a trace of grime at the base & a patch of water marking at the tip. Cast brass hilt assembly displays inspector marks, “L” and “S”, on crossguard, and “B.H.” on back-flat of the handle. Hilt exhibits medium coppery patina with light scratching. Bayonet release button operable. Scabbard leather bright black with light scratches and a minimum of cracking. Brass drag and throat [with lug] exhibit medium patina consistent with hilt. Also light scratching with one or two dents. Else VG, and attractive. Excellent display piece.
