Bayonet is in good condition with a semi-bright surface with a strong “US” stamping on the blade flat. There is also some light mottling throughout.
Black leather scabbard has frog attached by stitching and two copper rivets. Frog is worn and curled. The body of the scabbard is complete with the brass finial. Scabbard body shows moderate surface finish loss but the rear seam is tight. Finial has a dark patina, some dents and is missing its tip.
Nice early war set.
