Triangular socket bayonet similar to the British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet but with larger socket diameter.  Blade measures approximately 17 inches long. The top flat is thinly stamped “LAWRENCE.” Inside diameter of socket measures approximately .890 and the socket is 3 inches long. Locking ring is present but stiff and needs oiled. Surfaces are semi-bright with scattered small pockets of pinpoint surface pitting.
