CONFEDERATE RICHMOND SOCKET BAYONET

$1,200.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1000-1370

Bayonet is made of a solid piece of iron formed into a triangular blade with a socket on the end for affixing to the musket.

Blade meas. approx. 18.00 inches long. There are no flutes on either of the three blade surfaces. Locking ring is missing from the socket and there are no markings. Also the last third of the blade shows some waviness.

Item appears to have been dug but has been cleaned of all surface dirt and rust. The bayonet is solid and displays very well and is a nice example of a Confederate manufactured bayonet.  [SR]
