The Office of Strategic Services was a wartime intelligence agency of the United States during World War II, and a predecessor to the Central Intelligence Agency. It was founded in mid-1942 and was responsible for clandestine operations.
The overall meas. of this knife in the scabbard is 14.00 inches long.
The triangular shaped blade meas. approx. 8.50 inches long. Blade is dark and has some light surface pitting but nothing major.
The grip is made of a round ribbed Bakelite material with a brass ferrule at top and bottom. The blackened iron guard is “D” shaped with four raised “knuckles” on its face. At top is a triangular shaped spike.
Scabbard is of blued iron.
The item is in overall excellent condition. [SR]
