An original pre-Civil War socket bayonet issued with the US Model 1816 Harper’s Ferry Flintlock Musket. Standard pattern .67 caliber socket bayonet with Harper’s Ferry markings “US” over letter “P”. Letter “P” on socket by the end of mortiser. Semi-gray patina with black age spots. No rust/pitting. Scarce bayonet from Harper’s Ferry. [ws]
