Bayonet manufactured for the US Model 1819 Hall breech loading Flintlock Rifle made of the Harper’s Ferry Armory. The Hall rifle was the first widely issued military breech loading firearm manufactured with totally interchangeable parts. Bayonet measures 18.50” overall, 15.50” blade. On flat of blade near neck single “d.t” stamp. Blade has one area of heavy pitting with chip to edge of blade. Semi-gray patina. [ws]
