Semi-bright, triangular bladed, socket bayonet, with “U.S.” marking, measuring 18” in length, .875” in width at base. Blade exhibits patches light water staining. Locking socket bright & clean. Black leather scabbard with dark brown, double riveted belt loop. Leather displays light scattered gouges & minor bruises, else VG plus. 1816 conversion bayonets with scabbards are scarce. Fine collectible.
