WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN SA DAGGER WITH DOUBLE TRADE MARK

$400.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 729-124

Dagger has nickel-plated hilt fittings that show light surface wear to the upper and lower cross guards. The grip is made of a beautifully grained cherry-colored wood that is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The aluminum grip eagle and SA insignia are properly inset. Polished blade is bright showing moderate runner marks on obverse, but lighter on reverse. Deeply-etched motto retains 100% of its light gray color. The reverse of the blade bears two trademarks, an RZM 7/66 and an Eickhorn squirrel holding a sword above SOLINGEN. These marks date the dagger to 1937-1941.  Dent-free scabbard retains 100% of its original chocolate brown enamel which shows only minor surface wear with no crazing. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear but no dents or depressions and no damage to the lower ball.
