Maker marked on underside of guard “US / L.F. & C. / 1917.” Measures 13.5” in total length, with triangular blade 8.375”in length, .5” in width at base. . Single piece, iron cross & knuckle guard, with five outer knuckle points. One piece knuckle-ribbed wooden handle, with pommel rivet. . Scabbard features iron throat and tip, with belt hook, riveted to mid-leather section, 5.5” in length.

In condition, the sharp blade exhibits medium gray patina with light pitting. Cross & knuckle display slight rust. Solid handle & grip. Scabbard metal dark with light rust. Leather exhibits light wear.

A formidable weapon and a solid AEF collectible.
