Dagger blade is double edged and bright in appearance but does have scattered scratches throughout. Also there is no visible maker’s mark.
Hilt consists of a rounded pommel with a swastika in a wreath of oak leaves on each side. The grip is of orange Bakelite with five courses of twisted wire. Wire is a bit loose near top but is unbroken. Grip has no chips or cracks. Ferrule at bottom of the grip is missing.
Guard has in flight spread-winged eagle with a swastika in its talons.
Stippled metal scabbard is undented and has both rings and mounts. Rings are decorated with laurel leaves. Scabbard surface is dark. [ad]
