Blued blade is double edged with a raised central ridge. It meas. approx.6.75 inches long and has light surface dirt and oxidation. Edges are free of nicks. Point is good.
Elliptical blued guard is stamped with “SHEFFIELD” over “ENGLAND” on one side of the grip.
Grip is of ribbed cast brass that has darkened with age and handling.
Scabbard is made of thick brown leather and is of a different style than what is usually seen. Frog is present with slits for attaching to the belt. The snap down thong which holds the handle in place against the frog is present and works fine. The leather on the back of the scabbard has had two slits cut into it opposite the point. This is a personal modification so the point of the scabbard could be strapped to the leg.
Overall condition of the scabbard and knife is good. [AD]
