EARLY WAR SCABBARD FOR THE MODEL 1855 BAYONET

$195.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 172-3499

The leather on this scabbard is in good overall condition with very minor crazing on the frog and scabbard body. A close inspection will reveal that at some point long ago the leather was re-blackened to cover signs of wear and light surface finish loss.

The frog is the early war configuration being held in place by thread and two copper rivets. The bottom of the scabbard also has the brass finial. The seam running down the back of the scabbard is good and tight.
