Very nice example. Metal scabbard with brass mounts. Top mount with Ames markings. Very fine condition grips with sharkskin covering as fine as we have seen. Twisted brass wire also superb. Straight single edged blade 30.5” long with bright finish. Original frosted panel covers the first 21” with excellent engraved motifs. Some very minor age spots but overall superb. Ricasso with etched Ames markings! Original leather ricasso washer intact. A nice sword!
