Condition: Excellent+

The guard has fully decorated branches on the outside and partially decorated on the inside. The quillon has the distinctive Federal Eagle. The pommel is high relief cast with the leaf pattern around the base and a rope design around the crown. The grip is covered with sharkskin and wrapped with twisted brass wire. The blade etching has center panels with the obverse having an American Eagle on a gold background and the reverse having a U.S. on a gold background. The ricasso is stamped Collins & Co. / Hartford / Conn. The steel scabbard has brass mounted ring mounts and drag with a steel throat.
