The overall length of the sabre is 39.50 inches. It has a curved blade that meas. approx. 35.25 inches long. There is no central fuller but there is a narrow fuller that runs along the upper edge of the blade for approx. 28.50 inches. At the ricasso the blade measures just under 1.50 inches wide. Blade surface is semi-bright with light scattered mottling. There is no pitting and the edge has just two or three very small nicks.

The grip is of bone with a spiral groove carved on its surface. Bone shows age and has several linear surface cracks but nothing major. Each end of the bone grip is wrapped with a brass ferrule. Pommel cap and guard is of iron and is free of decoration. Pommel cap has stud at top while the guard and knucklebow are one piece with cutout decoration.
