Cutlass is minus the scabbard. Point has been slightly clipped. True edge has one minor nick. Blade meas. approx. 25.00 inches long and is 1.25 inches wide at the ricasso with an unstopped fuller that is 18.50 inches long. Surface has an even mottled appearance with small amounts of scattered surface pitting. Nothing major. Maker’s mark has worn off but the date “1862” is clearly visible.

Brass guard, knuckle bow and pommel cap have a mellow patina. Wood grip is fair with two small gouges in the leather, one on either side, along with some surface finish loss. Wire wrap is missing.  [ad]
