Import foot officer sword in fine condition with deep attic red patina. Brass guard is in nice condition and is a deep red patina except the pommel cap where bright gilt still remains.  Sharkskin grip has no issues but the wire no longer remains.  Blade is lightly etched.

Obverse has a maker’s mark which I cannot make out / fan foliate / foliate - stand of arms / foliate - torch / Eagle with stars in ribbon / foliate / stand of arms / folaite.  Reverse is fan foliate / foliate - stand of arms / USA surrounded by rays / foliate - stand of arms - foliate.  Leather scabbard is in sound condition with some crazing to the surface.  Brass throat, middle mount & drag all have matching red patina.  Great looking foot officer’s sword with an untouched look you rarely see anymore.
