Made for the Model 1841 U.S. Percussion Rifle, aka “Mississippi Rifle.” This original hammer is in very good plus condition, and retains much of its factory shiny-bright coloring save for few scattered areas of light pitting and oxidation spots. Thumb spur retains its checkered area and has all its edges sharp. No inspector marks visible.
