Item Code: G3322

Blued round barrel is 20.00 inches long as is tubular magazine underneath. Approx. 90% of the original blue remains. Correct rear and front sights are present. No finish remains on rear sight. Left side of barrel has strong stampings. Forward of the rear sight is “MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED AUGUST 21, 1894.” To the left of the rear sight is “NICKEL STEEL BARREL ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER.” Just before the receiver the barrel is stamped with the caliber “32-40.” The right side of the barrel below the rear sight is stamped “MODEL 94-WINCHESTER.”  The top of the barrel between the rear sight and the receiver has a Winchester proof mark. Bore is excellent and immaculately clean.

Receiver and lever are gray with some very light mottling. Breech cover has hints of original finish while the hammer still retains most of its finish. Action works perfectly as does loading gate. Top of receiver is stamped with Winchester mark. Forward bottom of receiver bears serial number 1066850. Saddle bar and ring are not present on this example placing production after 1925. Receiver tang is stamped “WINCHESTER TRADE MARK MADE IN U.S.A.”

Oiled wood stock is excellent. Only shows some minor light scratches.

Very good example of Winchester’s long lived carbine.  [ad]
