PRE-CIVIL WAR RIFLEMAN’S POWDER FLASK

$550.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 480-161

Flask is in very nice condition and well-marked. The body is free of any major dents and only has a few very small dings scattered here and there. The lower portion has a very nice spread-winged eagle over a rifleman’s horn with a “US” at center of the horn. This decoration is on both sides. The seam that runs around the edge of the body is tight with no separations. Both triangular sling keepers are present.

The brass cap and spout at top are also in very nice condition. The spout operates perfectly as does the loading mechanism. The top of the cap is marked “R. DINGEE, NEW YORK” and “1833.”
