Three Confederate Sharps paper cartridges, mounted in riker box [8.5 x 6.25”], with the accompanying note:

“RARE CONFEDERATE PAPER CARTRIDGE [2 RINGS BULLETS]. These Were Suppose to have been Found in Pres. Jeff Davis Home After the War. From the Dr. Davis collection, 12/17/ [19]47.”

Two of the cartridges are in mint condition—the third exhibits two slight cracks in paper, but with no powder leakage. Accompanied by two mint sharps bullets, and one with paper cartridge strings still attached at the base. Rare, one-of-a-kind Confederate bullet grouping.
