POWDER FLASK

$39.50 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: M24480

This medium-sized brass powder flask measures approximately 5 ¾ inches long by 3 inches wide at the base. The spout measures about 1 ½ inches and can extend an additional ¼ inch. The lever for the spout is intact and working, and the base of the spout is imprinted with “IMPROVED PATENT” and “JAMES DIXON & SONS SHEFFIELD”. The brass exhibits a medium, coppery patina. On both sides of the flask is a scroll or shell design. One side has a slight push, and there are some small dents and dings consistent with age. There is a ¾ inch long split along seam at the bottom of the flask, but the condition is otherwise good.
