An early, collectable hunting powder horn. Measures 9 ¼” long. Wide opening of horn measures 2 ¼” and is sealed with a wooden plug, which is tacked in place with three small nails. Wooden plug is covered in a piece of leather which is fasted with nine small nails. In the center is an iron knob for holding the suspension cord. Very good condition but for one small hole near the top edge of horn. Some scattered scuffs and light surface scratches are present due to age and use. [sm]
