.54 CALIBER CARTRIDGE FOR BURNSIDE CARBINE

$30.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 286-332

This is a non-dug example of a .54 caliber brass cartridge for the Burnside carbine. This commonly recognized cartridge was made of drawn brass and features the “swell” around the bullet at the case mouth.  This swell held lubricant and was patented by George P. Foster (#27,791 dated April 10, 1860).  This is a nice clean example with a few small dents to the case as is common due to them being wrapped only in paper for shipment.  [jet]

UPS SHIPPING REQUIRED.
