This is an exceedingly scarce Confederate-made tool. In very good, original condition, this hand forged iron tool was manufactured at Richmond. For carbines, this is a smaller version of the Richmond musket tool, and constructed of one 2 ¾” long arm with a box-end wrench on the end. A second piece, 2 ¼” long with a screw driver blade at each end is riveted to the bottom of the first.
In original non-dug condition, this is a Confederate item you may not see available again. [jet]
