Offered here is a nice example of a .54 caliber round ball mould for the early Model 1841 Mississippi rifles.  Iron scissor-type mould with a single cavity for casting a .54 caliber round ball.  The front edge of this mould features a cutting device that was used to remove the sprues from the balls. No US stamp. Approximately 7” long. There are some minor nicks and dings from use but otherwise in good, clean condition with a bright finish.  [jet]
