This is a clean, sealed pack of revolver cartridges manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal. Printed label on face of package reads: “12 Revolver Ball CARTRIDGES, Caliber, .45. Frankford Arsenal, 1880.” Side stamped in purple ink, “INITIAL VELOCITY, 760 FEET, DEC 31 1880”.
Tear string hangs from left end of pack. Right end has a split along the top and front seams which do not detract from the item. Measures 3 ¼” x 1 ½” x 1”. Overall a very clean pack. [jet]
