Just about every US rifle or carbine cartridge box of the period has a small separate implement pouch for the gun tools, oily rags, etc., necessary for the cleaning and maintenance of the soldier’s weapon. Nice addition to a weapons or equipment display. Gray metal with some pitting.  [sr]
