Paper cartridge in good displayable condition.  Single lead round ball and powder charge wrapped in tan cartridge paper. Tied above and below the ball with string. End is closed with regulation folds to form the “tail”. Tears to the cartridge paper have been repaired.

This is the type of ammunition that was used in .69 caliber percussion smoothbore muskets.

A repaired but still very displayable example of a smoothbore cartridge used extensively during the Civil War.  [jet]
