Lockplate inscription “_/ KETLAND/ & CO.” [London] .60 Caliber, smoothbore. 8” round barrel, overall length 13.375”. Full walnut stock, pin fastened. Hickory ramrod. Iron barrel, lock & flint. Brass mountings - ramrod , trigger guard, left receiver & upper handle. Ironwork exhibits browned, slightly pitted patina. Brass mountings displays moderate tarnish. Stock exhibits smooth, pleasing brown patina, with light nicks & bruises consistent with age and usage. Bore dusty & moderately pitted. Hammer functional, at full & half cock. Else VG & highly attractive. Obviously a gentleman’s piece, & fine for display.
