All matching serial number, 136174, places production in early 1863. Civilian model. .36 cal. 6-shot cylinder. 7 ½” octagonal barrel with attached loading lever. Trigger guard and backstrap with most of the original silver plate worn away. One piece walnut grip with re-varnish many years ago. Top of barrel marked, “ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA”. Cylinder with naval engagement scene is approx. 50%. Most of the metal has a nice plum patina. Some recessed areas with hints and traces of finish. Some very scattered and very fine pepper pitted spots on barrel and cylinder. Overall a nice example. Mechanically perfect. [ss]
