Serial number 54265. Made c. 1863-75, total quantity made approx. 122,000. One of the most widely carried side arms in the Civil War. .44 cal. Six shot round cylinder. 8” octagonal barrel. Walnut grips. Barrel with approx. 40% of the original blue finish. Frame approx. 75%. Cylinder with traces of finish. Walnut grip with single cartouche on left side. Brass triggerguard. Overall a very nice example. Mechanically perfect.   [ss]
